TroutScout Privacy Policy

TroutScout is a fishing app that shows trout water information, stocking data, weather-based fishing scores, and a community feed. This page explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions? Email support@troutscout.app.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and sign-in method (email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Google). If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we only receive the private relay address Apple provides. We may store a display name.
- Location: if you allow it, your device location is used to show nearby waters, stocking, and conditions.
- Content you create: posts, comments, and chat messages you send in the app, and streams you save.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active Premium subscription. Payments are handled by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
How we use it
We use this information to run your account, show relevant waters and conditions, power the community features, and manage your subscription. We do not sell your personal information, and the app does not include advertising trackers.

Your choices and deleting your account
You can delete your account from within the app. Deleting your account removes your personal data. Posts, comments, and chat messages you wrote are kept so other users' conversations stay intact, but they are anonymized and shown as "Deleted user." You can also email support@troutscout.app with any privacy request.
Children
TroutScout is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
